I am currently working on a draft of a book on Government Program management. It starts from the basic premise that government leaders are not particularly motivated by money, since executive pay is capped. Instead, they are rewarded by status and power. This has many implications for how they are motivated and how they behave. Unfortunately, these implications often conflict with the greater good. I expect to post sections of this book as blogs or articles on this site as they are ready for release.
Table of contents:
- What is in it for the leaders?
- Survival in a zero sum budget.
- Bigger is better.
- Beyond the Peter Principle.
